About Me
Hello! My name is Marshall Webb. Since earning my Bachelor of Science in Radio/Television/Film from the University of Texas, I have dedicated my career to the art of storytelling. I am a communications and creative professional driven by a passion for media in all of its forms. I am currently looking for a long-term leadership role that fits the balance of career fulfillment and sustainability I seek.
I am a married father to two beautiful girls with one furry baby. My family is firmly the center of my “why” and while my career supports them and provides fulfillment for me, my family is my top priority.
Currently, I serve as the Director of Communications for the Texas Department of Agriculture. My diverse skill set includes proficiency in media relations, strategic and crisis communications, videography, design, and photography, and more. I feel confident I can contribute and make an impact in any media environment in a variety of ways. I also bring valuable experience as both a leader and mentor, with a proven track record of leadership and talent development.
For any organization, I offer a unique blend of skills, experience, and versatility, backed by proven leadership and results.
Proven Results
As Communications Director at the Texas Department of Agriculture I have established a proven record of leading statewide and national communications for the Texas Department of Agriculture. Oversees public relations, internal communications, marketing, and creative services to ensure cohesive, high-impact messaging. Produces multimedia content across radio, television, and digital platforms, while serving as the primary liaison to major media outlets, industry partners, government agencies, and universities. Key accomplishments include expanding agency staff from 7 to 11, generating $612 million in equivalent media value, achieving 28,296 earned media placements with a national reach of 177 million, and driving social media growth to 94.8 million impressions with a 395% net audience increase.
“As a broadcast veteran of 28 years now, I can say Commissioner Miller should be proud of his communications team. Often our phone calls, emails, text messages and smoke signals seeking access to public officials are delayed and often ignored. That is not the case with your staff. My colleague in Dallas, Nik Bradshaw has expressed similar thoughts. Your team is top notch” ”
